Gynemed Brush
Improved Cervical Sampling during PAP Smear Collection
Gynemed’s Trans OS Cervical Sampling Device standardizes PAP smear collections and results in a more adequate sample. This is accomplished through the use of a sheath that prevents any displacement of the endocervical cells before collection and a sounding ring allows the physicians to know that the brush is properly placed in the endocervical canal.
The sheath serves a dual purpose in that all of the cells collected on the brush can then be removed by moving the sheath up and down over the brush in the liquid media of Liquid Based Cytology users. These features all work together to create a standardized sample with improved cellularity and a decrease in unacceptable samples by ensuring the presence of TZ and Endocervical cells. |
