Somagen Diagnostics Product Support and Applications Team (PSAT)
Since our start in 1988, Somagen Diagnostics has rapidly grown from a dynamic Blood Bank company to the largest Medical Diagnostics Distribution Company in Canada. Along the way, as our product lines grew, so too did our need to keep up with the challenge of providing the very best in customer support. Today our instrument base is over 1200 systems across all Laboratory Disciplines! This includes instruments in Histology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology and Research.
In order to meet this challenge, in 2008, Somagen combined the strengths of our Instrument Service Team with our Product Applications Group to form the Product Support and Applications Team – aka PSAT. The Product Support and Applications Team are focused on the single goal of bringing together as many resources as needed to solve customer concerns. Somagen Diagnostics recognized that the key to delivering outstanding customer support comes from a team approach involving all stake-holders; customers, sales, product specialists, applications specialists and field service engineers.
PSAT is comprised of
- 10 Field Service Engineers
- 5 Application Specialists
- 4 Telephone Hotline Support members
- 1 team member dedicated to IT solutions
This collaborative team focuses on a support solution that provides a more broad perspective and offers a complete solution to customers. The PSAT mandate is to quickly respond to customer concerns, bring together all of the necessary resources to resolve the situation and fix it in a timely fashion. In addition one of the primary objectives of PSAT is to deliver long term reliability in not only instrument platforms but assay kits.
