Streck Immunology & Flow Cytometry Controls

In 1991, Streck used the technology it had developed for stabilizing white blood cells to develop a control for immunophenotyping by flow cytometry. The first control, CD-Chex, offered only white blood cells. These cells were stabilized in a way that the antigen sites were preserved and not destroyed by the fixative.  In 1995, Streck introduced an improved version of the control that included red blood cells. The control, CD-Chex Plus, closely resembled a patient sample as it was tested by flow cytometry. As immunophenotyping by flow cytometry moved from the research laboratory to the clinical laboratory, the need for controls grew.  CD-Chex CD34 is Streck’s whole blood control for enumerating CD34 positive cells by flow cytometry. This control offers a high level of CD34 intended for laboratories analyzing samples with greater than 0.5% CD34 positive cells. Laboratories can now more accurately assess mobilized patient samples for stem cell transplantation, including peripheral blood, apheresis products, and bone marrow.

Streck CD-Chex® Plus BC

A Whole Blood Control for Immunophenotyping:

CD-Chex Plus BC is a whole blood assayed control for immunophenotyping on Beckman Coulter® flow cytometry systems. CD-Chex Plus BC determines the accuracy and reproducibility of all the steps involved in the process of immunophenotyping, including red blood cell lysis.

It provides the most assayed CD markers in the industry, which include: T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and NK cells. CD-Chex Plus BC CD4 Low offers a depressed CD4 absolute number often indicated in patients with immunodeficiency diseases. CD-Chex Plus and CD-Chex CD4 Low are available in 3.0ml cap-pierceable plastic vials.

Stability

  • 90-day closed-vial stability
  • 30-day open-vial stability

Streck CD-Chex® Plus

A Whole Blood Control for Immunophenotyping:

CD-Chex Plus is a complete, positive procedure control manufactured from normal human peripheral blood leukocytes and erythrocytes. It provides the most assayed CD markers in the industry, including: T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and NK cells.

CD-Chex Plus and CD-Chex CD4 Low are available in 2.5ml glass vials and 3.0ml cap-pierceable plastic vials. Pierceable cap allows closed-vial testing. Plastic vial increases employee safety. Compatible with most popular flow cytometry systems.  CD-Chex Plus determines the accuracy and reproducibility of the steps involved in the process of the immunophenotyping procedure including:

  •  Verification of mAb reagents
  • Validation of instrument performance
  • Validation of operator technique
  • Verification of red blood cell lysis

Stability

  • 90-day closed-vial stability
  • 30-day open-vial stability

Streck CD-Chex® CD34

The Only Commercially Available CD34 Control That Offers Three Levels:

CD-Chex CD34 is a stabilized preparation of human blood leukocytes which can be used as a complete process control when evaluating CD34 positive cells. It is the only commercially available control offering three levels, allowing laboratories to test their systems at varying analytical ranges.

It is compatible with ISHAGE gating strategies as well as commercially available BD ProCOUNT and Beckman Coulter® Stem-Kit enumeration kits.

Stability

  • 90-day closed-vial stability
  • 30-day open-vial stability
